My Asus motherboard (A7N8X DELUXE) has nForce / nVidia ASIO drivers, or so I think... why can't I get Vegas to output to each channel properly? Everything seems to come out of the front L/R no matter what.
Have you configured the outputs correctly in the Options/Prefs/Audio Hardware dialogs?
If so, first thing I'd be doing is disconnecting the front speakers to see if your system is properly routing them.
Next, I'd be plugging a headphone into each output on the sound card to see if they are properly positioning/discreetly routing.
Ok, after some futzing around, I got it to work. It wasn't the cables at all, it was some settings in the nForce control panel. Now I have a new "problem."
The peak meters are showing audio at the right time and are in synch with the audio I'm hearing, but the line doesn't follow accurately on the timeline. It's WAY off. And when I press Play, it jumps a good 4 seconds ahead (while apparently playing from the correct point).
EDIT- I originally guessed it jumped ahead 1/2 second, I just checked, it jumps exactly 4 seconds ahead.
