5.1 Rear Speakers Dead

I am trying to mix a Dolby Digital 5.1 DVD using Vegas+DVD. Whenever I play the audio tracks in Vegas I only get the front l/r speakers. No signal at all to the rear. I have messed with all of the settings and cant figure it out. Please help!

I have an Creative Audigy 1 with Dell-Altec Lansing ADA-995s

The rear speakers work fine in other apps

You must use the ASIO drivers with the Audigy to access the rear, Center, and LFE channels. You then set up the default routings in the Audio Device preference page in Vegas.
