5.1 surround card recommendations

I would appreciate any recommendations on a 5.1 sound card that supports three separate stereo channels for monitoring surround panning in Vegas 4

I think that just about any of the multichannel cards frequently discussed here should work (as long as they have more than 6 channels).

You don't mention price.
I would say the best bang for the buck right now seems to be the M-Audio Revolution 7.1.
There are better cards, but for lots more money.
