5.1 surround sound

Project audio set to 5.1 surround in Movie Studio 10 HD Platinum. AVCHD 1440 x 1080i video which when rendered for blu-ray in mpeg2 produces a m2v video file and w64 sound file which is then sent to Architect Studio 5. My query is that the audio file is rendered to PCM stereo and this is the only option available in the drop down box. Should AC3 5.1 be available?

Make sure you are working in a 5.1 surround project in Vegas.
For Blu-Ray, use a Blu-Ray template, not AVCHD.
Render the audio separately using an AC3 5.1 Surround template.
When you import the media in DVD Architect, the audio will also, assuming it has the same name.

5.1 is not supported on Blu-ray in the Studio version, only DVD.

I figured this might be the case but had to ask. So I have to upgrade to Pro to get that little feature do I? Sony finally gave us BD authoring with the latest release of Studio, just conveniently forgot about BD 5.1 surround. Not happy Sony.
