521 update & MainConcept mp4 render

Prior to the 521 update, I was rendering out a 8-minute long MainConcept 1920x1080 23.976 fps mp4 in 20 minutes (ish). It now gives me an approximate time left of 17 hours for the same project. Anybody else experiencing this same issue? I updated my ATI Radeon HD 5900 series driver around the same time that I updated to 521 but have rolled back the ATI driver with no luck.

I would throw up all the project details here, but since it was rendering fine before, I don't think the project settings/components are the issue.

I have exactly the same problem (System is Windows Vista 32 bit; I use the 520 update). I use a Radeon HD 6850 with latest drivers (Catalyst 11.12). Rendering with Sony AVC codec is o.k.

Another problem that I experience since build 520 is, that calling up the cockie cutter FX lets Vegas crush at once.

I'm playing around with the catalyst drivers more right now. Will let you know if I get lucky. Prior to this, the only time I would hang or crash was when using multiple instances of PTT.

And I hadn't tested it yet, but I created an mp4 24p 1920x1080 Best render profile under SONY AVC, and it's working fine. Temporary workaround but I'll take it 'til the MainConcept bug gets figured out. Thanks!
