6.0 track effects bug or ???

I'm using the demo of V6. I've got a video project from V5 that exhibits a strange problem when I open it in V6. None of the track effects work, it's as if everything is disabled. Applies to the preview monitor, firewire and/or 2nd monitor previewing equally. Same file works fine in V5. Is there something new in V6 that I need to do to get the track effects turned on?

Did you by chance disable all effects in the Preview window?

No, I checked that. Effects are enabled on the track(s) of interest and also on the preview window.

I guess others don't see this?

I guess we don't see what you are seeing. THAT would be a HUGE problem if it was indeed a feature of V5 to V6 transition.

I'll do some further investigation over the weekend. It sounds like pilot error on my part.

update to weekend testing:

I'm using the full version now, not the demo, but he problem is still there!

Video effects don't work, anywhere. Audio effects do.

V5 does not exhibit this problem. Something's confused. I've given details tech support but so far no response.
