6.0d Performance Problem

Does anybody know why 6.0d runs slower on my machine, as compared with 6.0c? I've had to revert back to 6.0c....with no problems by the way. Otherwise, my computer boots slower (as does Vegas) and the playback of certain 5.1 projects freaks out my ASIO MBOX driver (whenever there's too many layered 5.1 tracks w/ lots of audio info)?

Every time I've reinstalled or upgraded Vegas, it sets the Dynamic RAM setting to 16MB or 64MB (can't remember which).

As seen here:
http://www.visualretreat.com/vegas/2005_V5V6_Compare.htm
16MB and 64MB are some of the worse settings I've come across.

Set Dynamic RAM to 0 or 128 or 512 and avoid 16 and 64. I also do not use Media Manager, either, you can turn that off in the main Options tab if you don't use it.

Not sure of the booting and 5.1. Do you use media manager, and is it turned on?

GoodninightFilm -- when you say slower are you referring to performance when editing ? or only on rendering ?
