60p slo mo .40 playback rate - retaining sound?

Hey fellas - quick question about enabling slo mo with 60p on a 24p timeline. I know that if I drag a 60p clip onto my 24p timeline and change the playback rate to .40, the video slo mo is very smooth. The question is how do I do this while retaining correct sound? In Premiere CS6, all I have to do is trim the area that I want to add to the timeline, then change the speed to 40% and CS6 takes care of expanding the clip, enabling slo mo and synchs the audio to be the same. In Vegas, I can drag the clip by holding down the Ctrl key but I have to use trial and error to expand/shrink to get it perfectly to .40. Any tips?

You can set any of this numerically in the media properties, including audio.

If you have View/Active Take Information enabled, the audio event will show you the percentage as you Ctrl/Drag. Drag until it shows 40%. (The audio will sound pretty weird, though)

Thanks Peter, that Active Take seems to work the best! I found out how to fix the sound pitch by changing the Pitch Change - Lock to Stretch option.

I wasn't able to find out how to do it any other way so could use some pointers. Thanks fellas.

I think I discovered quite by accident that some settings in the audio time stretching yield much better quality than the default setup. But I don't recall what they were ATM.
Pretty sure Sony can get a stretch that is not as TIN CAN, or slice-n-diced sounding. I've got a project right now that will need this, so if I figure it out, I'll post up my findings. Otherwise, try some of the different audio options
