Hi,
I have a Windows 7 64bit machine and I applied the Large Address Aware patch several months ago. It cured all my crashing problems.

Search for and download the file laa_2_0_4.zip
Extract the contents (LargeAddressAware.exe) to a suitable folder
Use the Run command to launch LargeAddressAware.exe
For instructions on how to use LAA visit

(I don't know how to turn this into a link so you will have to type it into your browser's address bar)

Apply the LAA patch to the Vegas Movie Studio executable VegasMovieStudioPE100.exe (you don't need to apply it to any other file)

You can then get to work and enjoy your video editing experience

Thanks! I tested the 64-bit fix as MS Smart wrote about. I found, however, not all the files but it worked anyway.
