64 bit storage question

I'm not terribly up to date on the inner workings of file systems, but I was just sitting around wondering if a 12GB avi file on WinXP-NTFS would be the exact same 12GB on a 64bit WinXP and it's file system. Does the file system remain the same or has it been upgraded in some way to incorporate some kind of 64 bit features?

Is there anyone on this board that can elaborate on this yet?

It will stay exactly the same unless you manipulate it and thereby change its size in some way by adding to it. Any type of software can change its size, be it 32 or 64 bit software.

It's an apples and oranges thing. From what I know, the data storage format is entirely independent from how the processor does its work. I guess it's possible you could even use a FAT32 file system with a 64-bit box.
