6b gave unrecoverable error "The media library experienced an unrecoverable error. The media library will be closed." I can reproduce the error.
This occurred when right-click copying multiple events to a new track. Vegas continues running OK efter the error, but the media library is closed. I can reopen the default media library with no apparent problems. Media Manager shuts down when Vegas is exited.
The operations to recreate this error are:
1. open new empty project, with default media library as usual. (default properties are NTSC DV (720x480; 29,970 fps). (also occurs with default PAL template)
2. drag a PAL avi to new track 1 & 2. (I don't have NTSC avi on hand to try that.)
3. split the event in at least 3 places so there are 4 events.
4. click on first video event to select.
5. shift-click on first audio to add it to selection.
6. right-click on first audio and choose Select events to end.
7. right-click-drag on first audio event to copy the whole selection to new tracks under the first.
8. release and choose Copy to here from the popup menu.
9. exception occurs.
I'm running 6b, WinXP SP1 on IBM ThinkPad T41, 512MB, Logitech MX310 usb mouse (mouse driver v9.79).
Can anyone else reproduce this error?
