7d Crash on MP3 Import Select

I just upgraded from 7c to 7d hoping a crash problem would have been fixed, but no dice. I am attempting to import one or more MP3s into a project, and Vegas crashes as I am selecting the file(s). Sometimes it crashes when I select one, other times more than one. Consistently, it crashes if I select two (CTRL+click) and then select another (click). Thoughts?

I had this problem with some specific mp3 files with unusal data rates and codecs.
Becuase I wanted to use the files I opened them in iTunes, which didn't have any problems with the files, and exported them as WAV files.

It's a 'cost nothing' fix, doesn't cure the original fault but will work around it.

I have a music and SFX library of thousands of MP3s and this only happened with a very small number of files that were encoded by a third party supplier.
