8.0c in XP32 vs 8.0c in Vista 64

1 - 8.0c in Windows XP 32 bit.

2 - 8.0c in Vista 64 bit.

3 - Same 8.0c runs much smoother and better in vista 64.

Others have the same experience?
Why is this?

I've had a couple of freezes of 8.0c under Vista x64, but that could be down to the size and complexity of the projects (and my impatience).

If AAV colorlab would work under 8.1, then I'd be using that instead of 8.0c.

And Neo scene from Cineform plays in 8.0c at a godo frame rate. Canon 5D2 footage, converted to AVI by Vegas produces HUGE GB files... Cineform only twice the size of the original footage. And plays better and apparently has the same resolution and quality.

So it is really a pity that 8.1 cannot play these Neo files that 8.0c plays so well....
