8.1 event pan and crop window problem?

Is it just me or is everybody else's event pan and crop window messed up in 8.1? The pan and crop window adds black bars to the left and right of my media and distorts the image in the event pan and crop window.

I am experiencing the same exact problem! It does not happen in 8.0c

I am editing with M2T files. Anytime I render out a project that isn't an M2T file, the video comes out 4x3.

When I have my HD m2T file on the timeline, the video preview monitor shows that it is in 16x9. When I click on the Event/Pan Crop icon, the video shows up in that as 4x3. I have my projec settings set to HDV 1080-60i (which is what I am shooting). When I put my M2T file on the editing timeline, video preview shows 16x9, but again Event/Pan Crop shows 4x3. When I render a .mov the video renders out 4x3, eventhough I specify 1440x1080. When I load the video up on 8.0c, none of this happens. The video is in 16x9 in both preview monitor and Event/Pan Crop windown. The settings for both 8.1 and 8.0c are identical.
