8.1 - Media Offline (Video) from 8.0 Proj

Saw the updates were available so installed both 8.0ca and 8.1 on my 64bit vista machine.

I tried to open my most recent project in 8.1. My video files that work fine with 8.0 show as "media offline" in 8.1. Tried reimporting the tracks and it only brings in the audio. These video files are from game recordings using ZD Soft Game Recorder encoded with ffdshow codec (MS MPEG4 v2 in avi format).

I could successfully import videos from Fraps or wmv videos I've created in Vegas, but I need the above format to work in 8.1. I'm not sure why it would work in 8.0 but not 8.1.

You would need to find a 64bit codec capable of reading those clips. Otherwise you'll need to stick with 8.0c.

There is an h264 64 bit codec.
