853 x 480

The building that my company is in has 16:9 ratio Flat Plasma Screen TV's that my boss wants me to do some 15 second bumps for. The media guy told me that they need to be 853 x 480 but I do not see this option in VEGAS 4.0c.

What do you guys propose using as a setting?
What pixel aspect ratio?
Interpolate, Blend, or NO Deinterlacing?

Thanks in advance,
Lamont

When rendering, click the [Custom] button to modify the template. Under image size choose custom size and enter any dimensions you wish. In Vegas 4.0c the limit is 4096x4096. In previous versions it was 800x800.

As far as the rest, that's heavily dependant on what format you're rendering to and how it will be played. If 853x480 is the exact dimension of the plasma screen and you render to that size, then an aspect ratio of 1.000 would be appropriate. On the other hand, if you render to 720x480 then a ratio of 1.185 would be correct (853/720).

Some compressors require the frame dimensions to be evenly divisible by 4. So you may be allowed to use 852 x 480 or 856 x 480, but not 853 x 480.
