I installed 8C over 8b. Per previous posts, I renamed CFHD.DLL to -CFHD28-.DLL in the Vegas folder and restarted Vegas, but sill wouldn't read Cineform files, even after reboot. I then installed HDconnect to install v3.04 of the Cineform codec - no joy. I then installed v3.1.4 of HDconnect - no joy. I copied the CFHD.DLL that HDconnect had installed to the Vegas folder - no joy.
My .AVIs that were created in 8b play fine in Windows Media Player, and I've been above to render .AVIs with the Cineform codec from the moment I installed 8c, and they play without a hiccup in Media Player. But I cannot for the life of me get 8c to open any Cineform .AVIs - I get the audio portion only. This is a big problem, for I have many .AVIs that I need to open. Can anyone help?
