Hi there,
Recently i have an event that lasted about 2.5 hrs. After i rendered into mpeg 2, the file size is about 6GB. When i burn into a 8GB dvd (using DVD architech 5), the size became 6.5 GB. The problem is when i play back, the DVD jammed at the point of 1 hr 20 mins. When i played on PC, it was okay. Appreciate any feedback. Many thanks.

Mike.

This is usually an indicator of an issue between the disc itself and the DVD player. It's not an issue with the software.

As I say in my book, you can increase the odds of creating a good, compatible DVD by:

a) Using a good quality brand, like Verbatim or Tayo Yuden. Stay away from store brands or poor quality brands like Memorex.

b) Never burn at faster than 4x, even if the disc is rated faster.

This may not fix every problem. Some DVD players just don't play home-burned discs as smoothly as they do factory-pressed discs. But it should get you a good play on about 98% of the players out there.
