I don't like people who buy one kilogram Gold and want to make a proud Crown from it with neither sufficient knowledge nor tenacious study.

HW: my signature, Soft: VEGAS pro 20

1, I established an 8K/QFUHD project with 29.97fps due to the main source material.
1a, I use SWAPfile instead of that ragged proxy which can only be viewed in again that nasty Preview/Draft quality.

2, after editing I swapped back the origins and began to render.
2b, there's no 8k-template with 29.97fps, so I changed the framerate.

3, I got several times freezing and didn't know why.
3c, every time the freeze happened at this junction, I tried trimming, moving, upside down repositioning...all failed.

4, thinking, putting myself in VEGAS shoes...why no template for 30p?
4d, or I change my frame rate to fit the render default. I did.

5, hurrah, it went straight forward.

Polish people speaking.... wife who is Polish translated for me.

So how was the timeline performance for you? Use of hardware when rendering?

Can only make a phone record for you. The OBS takes "too much" system resource.

View-window: Best/Good/Quarter.
As you see, between events or the hard transitions you'd make an 1/4sec stop then go on playing back.
This is acceptable for editing, for 8K editing.

HW usage by rendering is GPU-acceleration only - no decoding/encoding, with original clips the render time ca. 10:1, i.e. for one min timeline you need at least 10min.

Do the people speak Polish? Or is it a motto:
Polish people speaking.... wife who is Polish translated for me.

No, this was filmed in Poland, and the males are speaking Polish.

It was nice watching your GPU and CPU being used.

Thanks for sharing this. Now I'll be monitoring more too. I usually have Task Manager opened on a second monitor, but will incorporate the AMD apps too.

Aha, your wife is Polish.
Have had once a colleague, a Mr. Vrobovtczesky or that like...more familiar with ching chang chong.

My monitor-tool is usually HWiNFO64 sitting in the taskbar.
Red: CPUsage, Green: RAMavailable, Blue: GPUsage.
If I see some RAM absent I know there's a VEGAS resistant underground. 👀👀

@Yelandkeil I've been here in Poland for 10 years now and still stumble with the language. There are some last names I just can't pronounce.... like this one: Szewczenko
