8mm capture - what next

Newbie question here:

Up to this point I have been transfering 8mm film directly to set top DVD recorder. A new client wants me to add some music so I captured the film to AVI via scenalyzer. I used transfer projector from Movietstuff (Cinemate 20). 3 blade at 20fps. Captured with a consumer Canon ZR something-r-other (1 CCD) locked at 1/60th of a second. The results are very good IMO.

OK, so I got it all on the Vegas timeline. Added music, I want to do a little color correction and maybe frameserve it to AVIsynth to clean it up a bit. Right now I have vegas properties set to progressive and all the events are set to reduce interlace flicker. Without turning this into a major restoration project (which my client has not paid for) is this all I need to do before frameserving or just encoding?

Thanks,
Jack

Jack,

So you went from Cinemate 20 to a MiniDV to a DVD Recorder/MPG to a PC to AVI?

Then you are going back to MPG?!

If that is correct I would definiately skip the DVD recorder and capture straight to the PC.
If I misunderstood you then nevermind :)

I may be screwy but not INSANE! *chuckles*

No, in the past I usually transfer direct to DVD recorder.

This project I transfered from Projector to AVI via my DV camcorder connect via Firewire.
