Run a few short tests to see which shutter speed looks best. Be ready to see a trade off between getting rid of the "flicker" and adding a slight blur to motion when doing this. At least that's what happened to me when using a Sony Digital 8.
I've seen it posted here, that you can use "Virtual Dub"instead, to get rid of the flicker and that it does a pretty good job, but I've never tried it yet. I believe it was "johnmeyer" that wrote about that, but I have a bad memory. Try a search, or maybe he'll answer before you see this. He's a frequent poster.
