9.0b and Motu

I was using a motu firewire interface since 8.0 and it worked just fine in 9.0 and 9.0a, but now it doesn't and it all started when I upgraded to 9.0b today.

I of course need 9.0b over 9.0a due to the text generated media problem. So I was seeing if anyone else was having this problem and if they had a solution.

Also when it crashed it doesn't even ask me what went wrong like it use to.

Any ideas or suggestions other than going down versions. The current saves don't seem to like older versions and our studio doesn't have time to redo weeks of work.

if you have a MOTU you probaly have waves plugins

make sure you disable track buffering in the audio preferences dialog
or check that it didn't get re-enabled when you updated to 9.0b

waves plugins & track buffering don't mix for some reason

Your system specs indicate you are using a Creative XFI, so I don't know what MOTU device you have.

Can you be more specific in the problems you are having with the MOTU?

Can you be more specific as to what is wrong.

What OS are you running?

I'm not at my other workstation, but I have an Ultralite on there. I haven't tried it with Vegas yet, but the drivers load. When I get back I'll do a quick recording session and see if all is well or not and post my findings.
