9.0d: Strange behaviour - adding Video Output FX

Hi,

Can anyone repro this in Vegas 9.0d 32bit (running on WIN 7 Pro 64 bit)?

1. Standard SD (PAL AVI) on the timeline
2. Set preview quality to: BEST (half)
3. Tick "simulate device aspect ratio"
4. Untick "Ajdust size and Quality..."
5. Connect a firewire OHCI compliand previev cam that feeds an external monitor.
6. Select video preview on this external monitor

Now - add the Sony Levels to the Video output bus. Reset it to "Reset to None". Should have NO effect on the output, do you agree?

You can now have the timeline either paused or playing. Make sure that you see the video in the monitor Now - toggle the Levels filter ON and OFF at the top left corned tick mark.

Whe the LEVELS FX is ON the image blurs. Turn the LEVELS FX off and the image is again fully sharp!!!

A levels filters (especially resetted to NONE) shoud NOT affect the preview in this fashion!!!

Something very spooky here - since I DID NEVER see this behaviour in 9.0c.

Please, can someone repro this?

I am really considering going back to 8.0c until SCS gets all problems with 9.0 a,b,c,d fixed...

Christian

EDIT: It seems that when the LEVEL FX is selected (even reset to none) that then the shown video is actually of quality Best(Half), when the FX LEVELS is not selected, the video shows at Best(Full) quality, even if it is selected to be half resolution in the preview. I see this behaviour so far only on the external monitor... Spooky, or does someone have an explanation for this behaviour. Din dot see it in 9.0c...
