A happy new year

and the best wishes to all of you - greeting from good old Europe!

I expect 2006 to be the year, where we will see HD(V) ready stanalones, and addtional HDV-Camcorder hopefully. Should be the year, where HDV climbes up siginificantly in market penetration, too.

And Vegas7 will add additional value to HDV-cutting, I am sure.

Kind regards,
Wolfgang

Greetings from the Pacific, Wolfgang, and Happy New Year to you and everyone else in the forum.
2006 is looking like it will be yet another technical leap-year, with all sorts of new and exciting products and tools, and new techniques and opportunities to boot. We're sure looking forward to it.

Happy New Year from Southern California!
I was just told it's 06 is the year of the dog! We all know that dogs are faithful, happy and excitable! So this could indeed be a good year :-)

Less than two hours to go now here in Norway. I am beginning to feel like an oldtimer in this forum, even though I know some are older timers than I am. Some of you I feel more attached to, like Grazie, because we've shared time an pints together, Paul, because his ancestors came from Norway and he still feel like a Viking deep inside. But mostly I think this is a great forum, both for the level og knowledge and the willingness to share it. Looking back, it is sad to see that we've not been able to accommodate everyone. Perhaps we should have - collectively - made a greater effort, even though - at times - it may have seemed like it would not havemade a difference. Clumsy sentence, I know. But those of you who know what I mean, know what I mean.
To the new year I propose a toast. May it be a year of peace and friendliness not only in this forum, but in the world.

I have been one of the most cynical and pessimistic people around in 2005 yet I am excited about 2006 and know I'm going to be positive and optimistic this year and that it will indeed be a Happy New Year for us all as digital video makes another leaf forward.

Happy New Year to you all,

Michael

I didn't. :-( New Year's Eve will be just as fun without it though.

Happy New Year from New York!

Let’s hope the new year brings a delivery format for all this HDV I’ve been shooting. (of course, that would require me to buy an HDTV first) ;-)

Happy New Year to all! We just returned from a weekend of camping with close friends. Though not cold at all - low 65, high near 80 - we had a great time.
