A little help..

Actually I just need a good kick in the right direction. I've just secured a gig developing a commercial DVD for a music distributor. Only problem is I've never done it before.

I've created DVD's for myself, clients, etc. but never one for commercial release. And I was wondering a few things:

1) With DVD Architect (which I use), is it possible to create a series of mini-movies to play in a particular order? (i.e. my company logo, copyright warnings, trailers) then go to the main menu?

2) What Im doing is importing about 60 minutes of live music footage and editing it down to several chapters. Do I just need to create "chapter markers" in Vegas or is it a DVDArchitct thing?

Sorry for the newbie quesitons. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks...

1) Project Properties> Introductory Media

2) In Vegas, Render As > Save project markers in media file.
In DVDA, add chapters with m key or hit the Insert Chapter button.

...you're going to hit a third problem, but I'll warn you now. DO NOT USE DVD-R MEDIA! Get them replicated, not duplicated. I know somebody who got burned b/c they thought DVD-R was cheaper and/or easier. Little did they know that DVD-Rs won't work in a pile of players and replication is actually cheaper if you get a fair sized order.

Yeah, yeah, you probably already know this, but I'm a paranoiac who lives in fear of incompatible media.

I know of at least 2 real-world tests where -R was seen to be MORE compatable than +R.

There are probably test that show the opposite. Either way, both + and - are above 85 - 90%.

Now that I have a -/+ burner, I have been burning foremostly on -R, but include a brief note on the case to the effect that it may not play some players, in which case return it and I'll replace it with a +R disc.

I must admit though, that although -R is said to be the more compatible, with some jobs I've had up to 30% rejections where +R solved the problem.
