ahem...haha.

i mean, if mpeg-4 is 2 numbers above mpeg-2, and we use mpeg-2 for dvd...why isn't dvd mpeg-4~!??!? haha. or maybe that is HD?

Not to be an ass. But I hear the internet is full of information. Might be quicker than waiting for someone hear to take a day to explain mpeg4.

Mpeg-4 is one of the three accepted formats for upcoming HD dvd's. Current mpeg2, mpeg4 AVC(H.264), and windows media9 [WM9 (VC-9)] are the three 'official' formats approved by the dvd forum for HD. None of the existing dvd authoring apps (with the exception of a couple from Sonic) are capable of creating such a dvd (HD).
