Ey all,

Sorry for this newbie question comming up but i really need an answer :).

I always got a really good quality movie, with the preview button in vegas it looks really great, but when i wanna save the movie as an avi, i click render as to save it as avi, but after i render it as an avi the quality is totally ******. Do some of you know a solution on this?

under project properties, File-properties or little icon in the upper left corner of the preview window.
make sure under the video tab, full resolution quality is set at"Best"
for starters.
then other things come into play, if thats not it let us know what media your using to start with and how your rendering out to dv avi ,etc.

The output quality depends on the render settings. "Video For Windows" with PAL or NTSC preset and Best rendering quality should give you very good results.

What settings are you using?

Tell us more about your settings - source footage, capture format - intended output format - presets for Render as?

Those are your project property settings, which may or may not have any effect when you render. What render settings are you using?
