A question about the features in movie Studio

Hi
I use vegas Pro and my 12year old son love the software too so I thought of giving him a movie studio license for his computer. I would like to know if they all or any full fill his "demands". He needs to import mpeg4 files from camera from a simple camera (no HD) and also video envelop so that he can make slowmotion for his small skate videos.
Any one that have the answer?
Regards
Bengt

Download the trial version here:

and give it a try. (NOTE: This link is to the Platinum edition...)

For the specific question about MPEG4 files from a camera, you probably need to post exactly what camera it is and see if anybody here has worked with it. (But testing yourself with the trial version is even better.)

Compared to Vegas Pro, the Studio version is limited to 4 video tracks. It does not have the velocity envelope like Vegas Pro, but you can do slow motion by ctrl-dragging to stretch an event out. So you can't ramp down from regular to slow speed, but you can split the event and change the speed. To "ramp" the motion down you can split the event into multiple pieces and change the velocity gradually on each piece.

Thank you for the information, I will try the trialversion as you proposed.
