A simple thing I forgot how to do. That is sad. Help?

Ok. How do I do a linear wipe that wipes to the left to show a picture underneath as well as the picture it is currently showing. I tried under transitions to make it hold at the spot I wanted it to stop and it does not hold.
Can someone help me here?

Try Pan/Crop or Track Motion.

I mean where the next track slides in say at an angle from the top left corner. The track motion will only give me a square look. I know I did thid before with something that had a 1 and a 2 to move with a curser hand similiar to the color gradients.

Maybe it WAS a color gradient - with Black and White for the colors - and you used the luminence control to "fade" it in?
