... most of my work is multi-media and computer based ... crunching video and sound for computer users is relatively simple on VV5 and I could get away with murder using Soundblaster and ATI video cards ... not exactly hi-end but more than adequate for my clients.... until now .... this garbage piece of crap called TV Wonder Pro from ATI won't sync audio from captured TV clips unless it's plugged into the hideous and only microphone "in" jack on the equally miserable Audigy 2 sound card making me crawl under the desk and switch plugs and device settings everytime I need to narrate voiceovers....I'm too old for this crap....twice, I got caught in the 30 million wires behind the desk, pulled a few out by mistake and did some unspeakable things that took me weeks to fix ...
... so, where was I ..? ... OK, I can't justify hi-end separate audio stuff ... I'd luv it but it's overkill... what I need is a sound card that fits into a slot in the computer and that has more than one mic input that doesn't need a 2000 watt pre-amp to get a signal, that handles 5.1 sound output and has a zillion jacks and controls on the front end of the computer .... I'd be real happy to know what other cards are out there besides the Soundblaster/ATI Combo From Hell ... I'm not afraid to spend money as long as it fits into the computer ... any advice would be most appreciated...
