A small V6 audio fix at last.

...I only write this because I've been moaning about it for the
last couple of versions. In V6, when you open a plugin chain
window of an audio track, the track's name is displayed in the
window instead of 'track 1'. So glad fixed this at last.

BTW, I'm not upgrading to V6 for obvious reasons.

PS: I don't want effects to be hidden when a track is muted,
thanks very much. - a fix for version 9 maybe?

PPS perhaps we should start the V7 wishlist right now.
PPPS then again, I have better things to do with my time than waste breath. I wonder which software I'll be using this time next year?

Yep, nice that they fixed that - and agree about the about the FX when muted; makes no sense. We probably also all agree on dozens of other annoyances and frustrations with the routing, mixer and FX. These all need addressing before they can even think about adding new audio features... which it seems they haven't been thinking about anyway.

Problem is, it looks like they spent a lot more time on the new splash screen than they did making that fix...

...We really are screwed. Not just right now...there is no coming back from this.

Once they drop the ball there is no way they can pick it back up. Audio is now so far behind that there is no realistic way it can catch back up.

0 new audio users will be buying the program and established customers will drop like flies.

There is no commercial reason for them to ever do anything serious with audio again. It would just be throwing good money after bad.

Vegas had the audio market at its feet. It totally had the jump on the competition and could have easily maintained a very sizeable chunk of the market if it had been adequately supported.

This program is dead in the water. It’s pointless to think about features you would like in the future because it will never have them. In terms of audio, what we have right now is as far as this program is going.

If only some mad software engineer would clone the Vegas user interface and come up with program that does right by audio.

I'm almost tempted...
