A/V capture HELP

With studio9 platinum, I can start the capture player and everything looks and sounds great. As soon as I select capture the audio sounds like a reverb turned all the way up. Unusable audio. I haven't a clue what that problem would be called or where to look for a solution. Throw me a bone, I'm lost.

You first have to throw us a bone....... let us know what type of cam you have and how it's connected to the PC.

Have you got the sound turned on on your camcorder? You may want to turn it down or off completely. Often you'll hear the sound on the camcorder and, a second later, hear the same sound playing on the computer and it sounds like an echo.

But you're going to have to give us more details if you want us to help. These little one and two word answers don't really give us much to work with.

I solved the problem. I switched to a quad core computor. I was maxing out the processor and that was the problem.
