a/v-in capture

Just bought the sony tvr-33 dvcam with a/v-in. I have hocked up my camera to a VCR and to my computer via dv out, I can see the picture fine, but how do I capture without that the tape starts playing in the camera?

I allready know that I can tape the a/v source to DV, I don't want to if I don't have to!

What happens if you remove the tape from the camera?

1) Remove tape from camera
2) Start Video Capture
3) Options>Preferences>General Uncheck Enable DV Device Control

To capture put VCR into play and click Capture Video to start capturing. Press the square Stop button to stop capturing.

The camera will need to be in VCR mode and you may need to enable AV->DV. If you want to go back the other way you may need to disable this in the camera.
