" A x B " track accident... turn off?

I'm wailing on an edit, and must have hit a button that I don't know about and, somehow, it separated my video track clips into an A over B with a crossover "X" in between them. I don't have any idea what that is called to even look it up to undo it.

UNDO did not work. It does not seem to hurt anything, but would prefer my clips get put back together.

Someone here has a quick solution for me, I just know it! ???

Right click on Track Header - Expand Track layers.

PERFECT, guys, thanks! I'll learn what that does later. Just didn't want it to sneak in and RUIN something I didn't know about. :D

BTW, what is this A x B track for other than seeing the actual clips and what is trimmed vs actual length. I could read the manual but I prefer your inputs.

It's a sort of throwback to how things used to be until programs such as Vegas made it simpler by doing it all on one track.
It still shows what is actually happening when you overlap two events by showing them separately, along with the transistion, and maybe a few still like to work this way, but it takes up so much space!

If you look at one of the Webinars (it was on the introduction of Pro 12) you will see a demonstration of how this can be used in practice and learn just how useful it can be.
