A1U rec HDV passthrough SDV?

I wanted to see if I could get a quick answer on this. If I am filming and recording 1080i can I simultaneously display via passthrough to standard definition via RCA cords?

If know one answers, I will give it a try in a couple of weeks (when I get some time) and report back. Camera is a Sony A1U or HC1.

Don't have A1 at hand so I can only say with 90% certainty yes.
Obviously anything that goes out that A/V port is always SD and from memory whether you are playing a tape in VCR or Shooting then it feeds a signal out the A/V port.

Jeremy, I have an A1U and yes you can down-convert while shooting live or replaying either through the iLink, Component ,or DVout interfaces.
