well..i´m having trouble importing AAF from Avid Adrenalin..
the thing is,, it dont matter how we export from the Avid..we have tried every method possible, (and yes i have 9 years of exp on AVID and almost 7 on PTools)
and yes the avid video codec is installed.

i´m hust trying to figure this one out.. i have no trouble with OMF´s ,, for that i use the EDL Convert pro and then i use a neat litle converter to conv the edl file from V4 to V6 edl.. no probs at all..

Vegas is such a dandy litle softeare for audio editing,, actually Freeeekin great,,
the thing is though .. pro tools is a bit -in the box software/hardware- couse every body else is using it.. so makes it easy jumping around studios with sessions.
But i have learned that almost 80%of all work in post for tv commercials is a gig of 15 sec to 90 sec.. so Vegas really does the job, I have now 4 Vegas audio setups in this company and 6 Pro tools HD setups, and to tell u the truth,, im getting more work done in VEGAS..
bottom line .. can Sony help me out with this litle AAF ?

The AAF file "should" be written to the same folder as the audio files on the export & import computers'.
I don't know about Adrenalin, but some AAF files from Avid Express & MC, I had to "edit" the AAF files' data by changing the file path to the "new" audio file's folder location. The audio files were not embedded.
Make a copy of the original AAF to be safe, and open the AAF in Notepad.

I find AAFs flakey and encourage clients to send OMFs... which I too convert using cb.soft's EDLconvert.
The new V6-D update may help also.
