AAF Import - no worky?

Hey Folks,

Just trying to get a handle on a "no details" error when trying to import .AAF files into Sony Vegas Pro 8 (and also 7).

have any of you been unable to import .aaf files and received a "no details" error?

I was thinking it may be that I don't have a codec on my machine or something but that'd be strange because I'd think Vegas ships with this capability.

Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, I have an AAF from our avid editor and I can't do a thing with it. Well I can see where the audio would be if there were audio but ... there's no audio. Seems that it is embedded in the AAF but no luck. :(

This is a long, hard road... And as I've said before, Vegas is the wrong tool if you want to collaborate with anyone. Import and export to go from Vegas <-> Avid or Vegas <-> FCP or even Vegas <-> Premiere will try your patience like you just wouldn't believe.
