I assume you're talking about the Sony HDR-XR150, an AVCHD camcorder that shoots in 1920x1080.

As long as you set your Vegas project up for AVCHD to work with these files, you can output them as pretty much any resolution you want, drb.

You can certainly output DVD-ready files and port them over to DVD Architect -- or you can output BluRay files for output to BluRay OR DVD.

Note that, although DVD Architect can burn BluRay video to DVDs, there are a couple of limitations:
1) You must still have a BluRay player to play these hi-def discs.
2) You can only fit about 20 minutes of full-quality hi-def video on a DVD.

... and they will not play on all Blu-ray players, even those that claim to be AVCHD compatible.

Thanks so much,
That really helped me to finalize decision to buy XR-150 and heading out to the store now.

Of course AVCHD can require a pretty powerful computer to edit. We usually recommend a quad-core or i7 processor with 4 gigs of RAM minimum.

Otherwise, you'll find your project's playback lugging and skipping frames whenever you preview it.
