above track 2

When I apply the "barn door transition" to a video clip above track 2 the transition acts differently than on tracks 1 & 2. Instead of moving the image in from off screen it becomes a "reveal". Is this normal for VV4? Is there a way to change this?

Certain transitions have to occur on the same track. When you put the barndoor effect on track two, the transition is happening between the black video area and the scene. Since the black video area is transparent, it appears to be just wiping the new scene on.

To succeed, you would have to move one scene or the other to the other track.
