I'm having this problem:
I encode wav files to ac-3 using sf soft encode (this is mandatory in my case because vegas4 wont let me render ac-3 5.1 from mono files, stereo, etc. so I have to edit the wavs in sound forge and then import them in soft encode).
The problem is that DVDa always wants to reencode ac-3 files encoded with soft encode. Any workaround?
Thanks in advance.
And in my wish list:
Multiple 'languages' support is very important for many of us: mainly because you can choose between different audio tracks. You can have a 5.1 with music in L and R and background noises in ls and rs. Then in other 'language' you can have ac-3 stereo music, and yet in another 'language' you can have audio commentary, and in another only background noises.
I shot countryside videos, then i put my own music and let the background noises in the sourround speakers, and add all of the above mentioned 'extra audio tracks'.
For DVD authoring I use DVD producer, and I hate the GUI, but it makes the trick for me. I hope DVDa with its nice and easy GUI will make those improvements.
Kudos to SF for Vegas4 + DVDa, a great package indeed.
Best regards,
Angel
