ac3 Plu In?

As far as i know the ac3 encoder only lets you do just that, encode to ac3.
If there is some other pluing that will let you bring ac3 into VV there's someone over on the VV forum who could really use that. Quality of result isn't a big issue for him.

and thanks for the reply, so if i wanted an Mpeg with AC3 sound i would need to render the video and audio seperately then mux them, Vegas will not do this for me. is that correct.

That's right, the mpeg file that Vegas creates I think actually has null audio in it as opposed to a real elemental stream (.m2v) which has no audio.

DVDA then takes the video part of the mpeg file and muxes in the specified audio file to produce the .vob file(s)
