AC3 Audio in high-def MPEG-2 file

Simple question for those of you experienced with Vegas 6... Can the full version of this program encode a high-definintion MPEG-2 file (using HDV footage as the source) using dolby digital encoded audio? My other programs can create a high-def MPEG-2 file only with MPEG audio encoding.

I appreciate your input on this.

No version of Vegas can do what you are asking for.

Why are you wanting to do this? Do you have a specific target playback device that needs this type of file?
