AC3 File Name Issue or Something Else?

I used the studio ac3 encoder with agc. The encode jumped from 2% to 100% really quick. I went on doing my thing and then carried the file over into DVDA4.5. About 12 seconds showed up on the timeline on DVDA4.5. I then went back to Vegas 8 and reopened the project and attemepted to encode again. No luck. I then tried ac3 pro and still no luck. I shortened the file name and it works. That is the only change I made. It would seem though that if it is going to have a file name limitation, it would not allow for the encode at all, but that was definitely not the case. Also, it stopped at the same point every time I tried to re encode before the file name change.

I am using the latest updates for DVDA and Vegas8.

The file name was 60 characters long minus the .ac3 extension. The .mpg came out just fine with the file name as did the .veg file.

That is a LONG filename. It shouldn't have been an issue, but dang, that's long.

Maybe i'm still a holdover from the old 8.3 filename days, but i still consider any file name longer than, say, 20 characters to be huge.
