AC3 preview problem

This started when I installed 4.5. Also happens in 4.5a. I'm pretty sure it worked right in 4.0 and I know it did in 3.0.

As has been posted elsewhere, the timeline display of balanced L/R audio is way off. It plays that way too.

If you have a surround AC3 track, you only get L&R, none of the other channels play at all.

I think it renders OK. Burning a disk now to check.

DVDA does not decode AC3 - merely presents the file on the timeline for reference purposes, which is why the waveform looks strange - AC3 is NOT an editable format, it's a delivery format.
You can play AC3 files with most DVD player software e.g. Intervideo WinDVD. As you discover, it renders with the video ok, and does burn to disk correct.

I still want it to play correctly in DVDA. If it doesn't preview right, it makes me think it rendered improperly. As I said, it used to work correctly. And I'm not sure yet it burns exactly right.
