I am running Vegas 4.0d on Windows 2000 (service pack 4). I only just recently installed SP4. Previously, Vegas was running just fine.
It still appears to work, but:
1) on startup, I get a message box saying
"The ordinal 12 could not be located in the dynamic link library DSOUND.dll." (!?)
2) AC3 files appear to save OK, but on playback they contain only silence.
Previously (Win2k SP3) Vegas was working just fine, AC3 files were correct. I tried reinstalling Vegas4d, with no effect. Anything I can do? I need to finish this DVD this week! thanks for any suggestions!
