Academic Upgrade

I have an academic version of Vegas 4.0 and was wondering if I could upgrade to the full version of Vegas 5.0 + DVD for the $300 price on Sony's site. I don't know if I can do this, but it states any version.

As far as i know, yes you may. The only restriction i know of is that any license can only be used for an upgrade discount once. So, if you bought an old version from someone else who had already used that serial number to upgrade, you wouldn't be eligible for the upgrade pricing. Otherwise, you're golden.
