Windows media player isn't a file format, what exactly are you trying to import to Vegas?
An again Windows Movie Maker File, I presume you mean a WMM project file? Vegas and WMM both read / write the same avi files.

Thanks for the reply.

I saved the WMM after I finished it and it will not work in DVD Architect

Do I have to convert it an Mpeg or something.
I realize Movie Maker is not a Pro tool but it's quick.
I have Vegas 5
After the learning curve am I correct to assume they will work together nicely.

I have been a Pro Tools user for years and am new to video but I really like it.

In WMM, click Save Movie... select in playback quality "Other..." in the Profile section, select DV AVI NTSC and save it out where-ever. Then use the file in DVDA. DVDA will need to compress the file into Mpeg first, but it will do that autormatically when you prepare the project.
