Acid 6 has SECTIONS? Better than Regions.

Yes I know we got Regions, but I've lately been using SECTIONS in ACID6.

These are multicoloured, very/immediately identifiable sections of the ACID project. They are very easy - good for me! - to place and name; are so identifiable that this would be neat for Vegas. Oh yes, using Regions in combination with Markers in Vegas you can't easily click<>highlight that part which is covered by the Region. Sections in Acid6, it is immediate and ignores any Markers already in place. Regions stubbornly don't. You click in between Region Markers and you get that piece.

I have just place, sectioned-up 3 parts to a piece I'm doing in ACID. I brought in the Video and then thought - "Hmmm.. this would be neat for Vegas too?" I can see my vids being easily split up and flagged in a very beneficial, inuititve and creative way that it must be being thought for V7?

I'm all for it so long as the T/L doesn't get too cluttered.

The other thing I'd really love to have are real In / Out points in the Trimmer. I'm really having a love / hate thing with the trimmer. That use of the Loopable Region thing to define in / out points is lame beyond belief, one wrong mouse click and POOF it's gone

No worries Mate! In Acid6 this appears as skinny and separate coloured strips ABOVE the whole T/L.

tip for ya: to select a whole region (markers inside, regions overlapping, whatever) double click on the region # tag.

Apart from the Multi coloured stuff, actually MAKING the insert SECTIONS is truly intuitive! Love it!

I too would like to see the SECTIONS carried over to Vegas.

I would also like the TRIMMER to have true In/Out points. Too many times have I set my In/Out then scrubbed through the Footage before adding it to the Timeline... only to loose my In/Out points.

AND, just done this, in Acid6 you get to shuffle a whole SECTION at once. I can grab the "Intro" and move/shuffle this along to another place. Now this HAS to be a natural benefit for Vegas?
