I'm thinking of switching to a new recording app' for music.
Does "time-stretching" sound better in Acid than in Vegas?
I'm coming from a third app' that doesn't offer it.
Thanks

They really are complimentary applications with very different features.
You should download the demos and see which one is best for you.
(I have both and use them extensively)
Acid is great for working with loops, premade or roll-your-own.
It also has rudimentary midi-functions. Will only record one track at a time, but will play a combination of loops,one-shots (short clips like drum-hits) and longer audio tracks (wich may have been beat-mapped, ie contain tempo-info)
Vegas is primarily a great multitracker/mixer (and extensive video-capabilities). No midi yet.
Both have wonderful interfaces.
