Acid, Vegas and surround

Hi,
I've made some simple music in Acid, and want to add it to a Vegas project. I've routed the different track in Acid to different channel (surround 5.1) like I want it played. Easy enough.
Now I want to bring this project in Vegas. Easy, just drop the rendered ac3 file on the timeline.... Nope , doesn't work?!?!?!?!?
I thought Vegas could handle surround????
I guess my question is: Can Vegas handle surround or not? If yes, how do you get it to work?
Thank's.

Yes, Vegas can handle surround perfectly well. It's .ac3 files that it can't handle. Render your ACID project to individual .wav files for each channel (there's an option to do this automatically), then bring these 6 channels into Vegas as individual tracks. While Vegas can render .ac3 files, it can't read them.

Ok, thank's. I've rendered the file, imported the six tracks in Vegas and used the snap to position them properly. Good.
But how do you keep the sound mapping, meaning that now, all six track plays front center and not like they were mapped in Acid? Each file is now named => filename_right, or filename_surround right; Do I have to map them by hand individually?
